Hot on the heels of their recent P-47 turbo-supercharger, Master Details have released a highly detailed replacement landing gear for 1:32 Thunderbolt kits:
"Due to the limitations of injection molded styrene, the landing gear parts of Hasegaa's new-tool P-47D Thunderbolt kits are simplified, inaccurate and overly thick interpretations of the legs of the bird. We are proud to offer the modeler a full-blown solution combining the refinement of resin with the strength of lead-free metal result in an accurate, highly detailed landing gear. Corrected gear doors feature complete dimensional detail, tail wheel insert is accurate and fully detailed and all kit flaws and inaccuracies have been corrected throughout. This set is fully compatible with the beautiful Aires wheel well inserts. Assembly instructions and brake line anf form included."

Item #32038 - Master Detail's P-47D Landing Gear is available now, Price: $24.95

I am a big fan of MD products - their pilot figs are superb - but it's a shame for us UK modellers who have to pay expensive P&P along with getting hammered for tax and "handling fees" on even modest purchases before you can have them delivered. I wish they had an EU seller or distributor to cut out (most) of the additional expense. Gary
