Trumpeter are going to release a 1/48th J-8IIF Chinese interceptor.

The kit should be released in February 2014.
So far Trumpeter have only released the box art picture.

J-8IIF (J-8F)
The Shenyang J-8 (Jian-8; NATO reporting name: Finback; Chinese: 歼-8) is a high-speed, high-altitude Chinese-built single-seat interceptor fighter aircraft.
The J-8II series appear quite different from the original J-8, with a new forward fuselage, intakes and nose structure more reminiscent of the F-4 Phantom II or Sukhoi Su-15 to house a new, more powerful radar. J-8IIs are powered by Wopen-13A (WP-13A) engines. The design and development team was led by Gu Songfen, who is also a key member of J-8I design team
The J-8IIF (J-8F) version first flew in 2000. The J-8H has a WP-13BII powerplant, in-flight refueling probe, and Type 1492 PD radar. It successfully test-fired PL-12/SD-10 AAM in 2004. It is reported that during 2006–2008, the J-8II production suffered major setbacks due to engine problems.
