It looks like the long awaited GasPatch Salmson 2A2 is nearly ready! From the looks of the prototype it is highly detailed.
". . .With the blessings of Kostas and the sake of our togetherness montelistikis given me the opportunity here to introduce to you informally kit Salmson in 1/48 even before this became available on the market, satisfying at least the curiosity of everyone: Note: photographs come from models of pre-production and demonstration. More than 200 pieces of injection and 50 photo-etched classify Salmson the category of super-detailed kit.

But do not rush to "baptize" as hard or harder than the least inherent degree of difficulty of the biplane, as the engineering is excellent, as is the application at some point rely pieces without glue, while quality plastic and the leaflet is of the best I've seen. There is even a bed assembly (jig) for the correct positioning of the wings something other than novelty and is testament that this kit was created by modeler to modelers.

Several of the pieces of the kit is very thin on the feeds of frames and need careful cutting and cleaning, but this is the price we pay for verisimilitude. The detail in each point of the kit aplenty within range and excellent performance. Many plastic pieces are comparable or better than photo-etched such as the propeller boss and the ventilation grilles, behind the engine. Photographs wet blanket anyone from getting to characterize excessive. Lips trailing wing is within a range without having absolutely no interference by the modeller. The ailerons may not be placed at different angles, but not outside of the actual operating limits while even the interstices with the wing is completely "air"!

Generally the kit has an "aura" aircraft raises vehemently plausibility with a proper painting. This special models a / graphs of the first PP is great advantage as it was on delicate flying machines. Four of the points you need to intervene in the Modeller kit biplane is usually the engine, scarf ring, the armature and struts using either after market products or DIY. In Salmson not needed. The struts are the right thickness and are embedded in the wings in deep sockets. While the head (cabane struts) rooted deep in the fuselage (as in real) and a single upper wing balanced precariously on their perfect before reinstated. For the rest of the photographs are irrefutable witness. Fortunately the quality of the kit in all its elements are such that eliminates any suspicion of favoritism subjective because of my friendship with Bob. It took, however, the first Greek to injection is one of the best biplane kit (at least) they have ever produced. Is an SD-SFB (Super Patch ModelesDetailed - Straight From the Box).

Only two products after market can improve it and they come from the same GasPatch ... This is the turnbuckle and to turn the guns (which is slightly better because 3-D). Pleasant irony. Is not it? For our good luck follows GasPatch Models. More about Salmson when will come the kit production and will become available when it will begin manufacturing the Japanese version."
