Inpressive in size indeed. I remember seeing a Tomcat and one of these parked on the ramp at Williamtown and they made the F-18s look small.

At long last, the first of the A6's are here but I wasn't expecting them to be priced that high. Right now, I.m ready for the reviews both box reviews and some build reviews as well. Sure betting the AM guys are going to have a fieldday. Sprue Brothers has them in stock for $199.99but I'm waiting for the A6E and saving my pennies!

As much as I like the 'Trud, it makes me sick when modeling companies charge outrageous sums like this for a kit that uses less plastic (from petroleum products) than Tupperware does. If they really want us to build them, bring them down to 100.00 or less... otherwise, send the boat back to China with the kits onboard with a note that says, "We don't want your overpriced crap!"

The Intruder and Prowler is one sexy jet. I've built many and I mean many. I also have a huge collection of kits in the many scales, 6inch stack of decals with a large box of resin and photo-etch parts. So when Trumpeter announced they were going to release one in 32nd years back I was pretty excited indeed. Thanks to Section8hobbies.com I got mine 3 days ago. I started the cockpit and seats. So far not bad, seats are made up of 16 parts. The rear (behind seat) rocket motor tube detail is soft so I'll replace it with evergreen rod and add in detail. Also the (pilots)parachute container is thin and more square, so again I'll be rebuilding that as well. You'll also need to add in the drogue lanyard and other small detail. as for the harness's shoulder and lap...don't bother. Rebuild a set using plastic and tape. The seat is 1 3/4in - 40mm, so it's a good size and missing a lot of detail just sitting in the cockpit open. I understand the modeling companies can't caption all the details but that's what makes us better modelers...right I'm sure someone will do a resin cockpit and photo-etch real soon...maybe even decals. I would post photos but I'm no longer able to on this site and I lost everything on webshots when they wanted money as well. I'll try though...and will do a full build up here (hopefully with photos) Happy Modeling, Joe
