With the news from Greece dominated lately by tales of economic hardship, it's great to see a newly established Greek company with ambitious plans for a range of model kits - GasPatch Models.
"Founded in 2011, GasPatch Models provides quality kits with a high and consistent level of detail, enjoyable to build for experienced modellers and beginners alike. We do painstaking research, using original factory drawings wherever possible, and paying close attention to contemporary photos. Demanding hobbyists with a keen eye on detail appreciate our perfect part compatibility, high tech mould manufacturing, and best value for the money.

Our first model is the Salmson 2A2, which played a key role and was produced in great numbers, but has hitherto not received appropriate recognition from the plastic model kit market. For the future, we plan, likewise, to produce models that are not common but are interesting in their design and historical significance."

GasPatch Models' injection moulded 1:48 Salmson will be available in three versions:

Mid Type - with French and American markings
Late Type - with French, American and Polish markings
Imperial Japanese Army Otsu 1

There are no test-shot photos yet, but instead a series of artist's technical drawings which show a nicely fitted out cockpit, plus resin details for the engine and armament.

The kits are due for release soon, so watch out for more details of price and availability.

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AEROSCALE.

Finally, a 1/48 replacement for the old Aurora Salmson. So cruel that so many new awesome models are coming out when I don't have the chance to build them.

Hi, I'm the webmaster of gaspatchmodels.com. DrI Ace: I don't see any problem in the web site. I visit the Model Preview page and it is clean. In addition, many people are visiting the site every day, and we have not heard any other complaints. In addition, unless you are using a very old, obsolete web browser, even if you visit a malicious web site, there is no way it can install a virus on your system; for such a thing to occur, it would have to convince you to download and open or execute a file. Merely clicking on a link is not enough. It could be that your computer already had malicious software installed, which happened to be activated when you attempted to visit our site. Other explanations are possible but more unlikely (a combination of a compromise of your local name server in addition to a vulnerability in your web browser, for example, but I wouldn't bet on that). If you can give me any more information I will investigate the issue further, although it does not appear to be a fault in our web site. Best regards, Antonis Christofides All the above are a copy from a similar topic in GreatWar air forum. Ther is no problem with the site. Best Regards C.Patsaros
