1:48 P-61 Black Widow Upgrades

MMD-Squadron have sent us details of two new True Details upgrade sets for quarterscale Black Widows. The first provides dramatically improved propellers for either the new Great Wall Hobby or vintage Monogram kits, while the second is much more ambitious, presenting corrected cowls, props and engine fronts for the GWH kit.

TD48547 P-61A/B PROPELLER SET 1/48 Scale $9.99 Retail
2 resin 4-blade Curtiss Electric propellers- each prop includes spinner and 4 separately cast cuffed blades.
For Revell/Monogram or GreatWall kits.

TD48548 P-61A/B PROP & COWLING SET 1/48 scale $14.99 Retail
Propeller and Cowling Upgrade Set- Resin Black Widow improved engine cowlings and Curtiss Electric propellers- includes 2 cowlings with fine engraved panel detail, 2 extended reduction gear fairings, 4 magnetos, 2 spinners, and 8 cuffed prop blades.
For GreatWall kits.

Hi Guido. I haven't seen a comprehensive review, but there are some great photo's on the Sprue Brothers site HERE , and a bit of a review on IPMS Hawaii HERE. I can't wait to get me some of these. Cheers, D

Vector's canopies will not fit GWH kit as is, but with some triming RO canopy may fit as I did here:

I'll include corrected canopies for GWH kit in one of my forthcoming sets for this kit. Sergey.
